Janelle Conley
Janelle K. Conley, 64, of Carey, passed away 8:39 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side.
Born May 4, 1958, in Upper Sandusky, she was the daughter of Donald L. and Beatrice (Longworth) Hotelling. Janelle married Kenny R. Conley on Oct. 22, 1973, in Clintwood, W.Va.
Janelle is survived by her husband, six children, Michele (Michael) Fraley of Carey, Kenny Joe (Misty) Conley of Paintsville, Ky.; Shane Conley of Carey, Summer (Steven Lumpkins) Conley of Paintsville, Ky.; Chase Conley of Carey and Dakota Conley of Lewisburg; 14 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and four siblings, Sherry (James) Puchta of Findlay, Candy (Charles) Conley of Carey, Donald (Cindy) Hotelling of Vanlue and Rick Hotelling of Carey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jean Tackett and Jackie Conley.
A homemaker, Janelle loved taking care of her family. She was always there for any of them unconditionally. Nothing was more important than family, especially the grandchildren.
Janelle was a big-time crafter. Hobby Lobby will miss her. She also loved cooking for her family. Her “made with love” baked beans and pecan pies were the best.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Nunley officiating. There will be no burial.
