The Rev. Darrell Spencer

The Rev. Darrell Spencer passed away peacefully Friday, June 9, 2023.
He was born to Kenneth and Naomi Spencer who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Janice Spencer and children, Cynthia Spencer, Bryan Spencer, Aaron Spencer and Amy Amstutz; step-daughters, Deanna Taylor and Yvonne Tavanyar. He was blessed with grandchildren, Justin Collins, Sasha Collins, Ava Amstutz, Ilse Amstutz, Bethany Taylor, Suzanne Brammer, Grant Taylor, Aaron Augello, Amanda Taylor and Blake Taylor; and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Spencer received his theology degree from The Nazarene Bible College of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He served in the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1966 and was a proud member of The Highland County Honor Guard.
A celebration of life will be held at Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, Carey, on Saturday, July 15, at 11 a.m. with military honors to follow.
