Mary Parker

Mary C. Parker, 91, of McCutchenville, died at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023.
She was born Aug.16, 1932, in Tiffin, to the late William and Clara (McConnell) Behm. She married Nelson Karcher Jr. in 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 18, 1957. She then married Frank Parker on Sept. 1, 1962 and he died May 21, 2023.
Surviving are her sons, Bill (Kay) Karcher, Oceola; Jim (Vicki) Karcher, Apple Creek; and John (Brenda) Parker, McCutchenville; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by brothers, Ed Behm and Bill Behm and a sister, Molly Welter.
She was a graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. Mary was of the Catholic faith and a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker. She owned and operated a ceramic shop known as Mary Ceramics in McCutchenville. She was a former member of the ladies’ auxiliary for the McCutchenville Fire Department. She was a master cake decorator and showed her artistic ability in decorating beautiful jeweled eggs. She painted on china, porcelain and did pouring. Mrs. Parker loved to travel and relax while fishing at McGregor Bay in Canada. She enjoyed eating desserts with ice cream and sipping on brandy or wine.
Private family services will be held at Walton Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Tiffin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dwain Sayre Agricultural Scholarship Fund in care of Walton Moore Funeral Home, 201 W. Saffel Avenue, Sycamore, OH 44882.
