Lucile Huston

Lucile F. Huston, 98, of The Manor at Elfindale, Springfield, Mo., and formerly of Carey, died on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at 4:15 p.m. at the nursing facility.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1925, at Moundville, W.Va., to Clarence T. and Mary E. (Long) Shimp, and they preceded her in death. She married Dr. Talmadge R. Huston on Oct. 5, 1946, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2008. There are two daughters, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The daughters are: Mrs. Steven (Christina) Muth of Filer, Idaho, and Mrs. Jim (Priscilla) Inniger of Rogersville, Mo.
One sister preceded her in death, Miriam Peters.
Lucile was a registered nurse and received her education at the Ohio Valley School of Nursing in Wheeling, W.Va. She had belonged formerly to the Womens Club of Carey. She had belonged to Christ Lutheran Church of Carey.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. The Rev. Jim Sharrett will officiate.
