Teresa Kitzler

Teresa Ann Kitzler, 61, of Mt. Blanchard, passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Center in Findlay.
Teresa was born on Feb. 2, 1962, in Findlay, to Ralph Higgins and Marlene (Monday) Marvin. She graduated from Vanlue High School in 1980 where she participated in various sports, her favorite being track, which she set school records in.
Teresa worked for the Budd Company, now Teijin Automotive Technologies, in Carey for 21 years.
In her free time, Teresa enjoyed baking. Her family’s favorites were her cheesecake, apple and pumpkin pies, which she loved making during her favorite season, fall. She loved rooting for her teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Michigan or any other team playing Ohio State.
Teresa loved bowling and enjoyed league play in Findlay. She often could be found mowing and always ensured her yard was in perfect order. Teresa loved dogs, especially her German shepherd Cooper.
Teresa’s greatest accomplishment in life was raising her three sons, Christopher Sayre of Carey, Anthony Kitzler and Brandon Kitzler, both of Findlay. They remember their mother as running a tight ship. She was seen as the glue that kept the family together. Teresa worked hard to provide for her sons and often went without to ensure they had what they needed. Teresa’s brothers are very proud of the sons she raised through her hard work and dedication.
Teresa is survived by her three sons, her three grandchildren, Ellen, Davin and Dominic Sayre of Bloomville; her brothers, Allen Higgins and Tom Higgins, both of Carey; mother, Marlene; and former husband, Cam Sayre.
She was preceded in death by her two children, Derrick and Alicia Sayre; and father, Ralph.
Arrangements are being handled by Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.
