Terry R. “Taz” Gossman, 60, of Carey, died at 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky with family by his side.
Born Feb. 14, 1959, in Findlay, he was the son of the late Harold and Ruby (Perkins) Gossman.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca L. (Chad) Conley of Carey, two grandchildren, Taten and Averi Underwood; five brothers, Ed Gossman, Steve (Pam) Gossman and Mark (Karen Secord) Gossman all of Carey; Mike (Martha) Gossman of Upper Sandusky; and Rick (Susie) Gossman of Alvada; a sister, Jody Gossman Talyor of Carey; many nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Terry worked at the former Claycraft Brick Yard in Upper Sandusky and Modern Builders in Findlay.
Taz enjoyed driving his truck around town and visiting with family and friends. Terry always put his family first, especially if someone needed help with anything. Terry will be sadly missed by his family.
He was a man of faith and enjoyed attending Carey First Free Will Baptist Church and having talks with the Rev. Sid Ramey.
Taz was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State fan. One of his biggest highlights was attending a Steelers game at Heinz Field.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 24, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Sid Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey.
