Dwight Swerline

Dwight A. Swerline, 88, of Sycamore, died at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky, on Sept. 26, 2020.
He was born in Wyandot County, Sycamore Township, to the late Dale and Cora (Riedel) Swerline on May 10, 1932. He married Beverly Burdge Aug. 17, 1949, in Paris, Ky., and she preceded him in death on Aug. 26, 2020.
Mr. Swerline is survived by daughters, Judy Swerline, Napoleon, and Robin (Terry) King, Sycamore; grandchildren, Kimberly Crayton, Holli Chaney, Adam Sniffen and Kayley Arthur; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Swerline, Upper Sandusky, and a sister Janet Decker, Sycamore.     He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Connie Miles; and a sister, Donna Minter.
He graduated in 1950 from Sycamore High School and was a member of Sycamore United Methodist Church. Mr. Swerline was a farm machinery mechanic starting Dwight Swerline Repair in 1949. He was member of Moose Lodge #1093, Upper Sandusky; Wyandot County Historical Society and Tri-County Tractor Pullers Association. He truly enjoyed farming and working on farm equipment.
A public visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, from noon-2 p.m. at Sycamore United Methodist Church. A private funeral will be held the same day at Sycamore United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kristin Buchs and the Rev. Gary Glasscock officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
