John Wenzinger

John Michael Wenzinger, 78, formerly of Carey and a resident of the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky since 2011, died at 11:51 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
Born on April 19, 1942, in Carey, he was the son of the late Richard and Audrey (Hendricks) Wenzinger. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Ralph Karcher.
Surviving are a brother, Tom (Beverly) Wenzinger and a sister, Christine Rader, both of Carey; two sisters-in-law, Sue Wenzinger of Carey and Cindy Wenzinger of Vanlue; and a brother-in-law, Dick Dahms of Fremont.
Preceding him in death were his brothers: Dave, Gerald and Earl Wenzinger; a sister, Rosemary Dible Dahms; and sister-in-law, Alice Wenzinger.
John was a 1960 graduate of Carey High School. Prior to a crippling accident in 1961, he worked at the former Millington Plastics in Upper Sandusky.
He loved people. During the summer months he would ride his tricycle, lawn mower or four wheeler into town just to talk with family and friends. He took great pride in his home just west of Carey. He enjoyed mowing his lawn.
Due to COVID-19, his visitation and service will be private. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey.
