Florence Fry

Florence Catherine Fry, 97, of Findlay, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
Born in Republic on Oct. 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Martin E. and Aura E. (Stahl) Fry.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline N. Fry and two brothers, Harold and Thomas Fry.
Florence was a 1941 graduate of Vanlue High School. She later graduated from the Kentucky Bible College and continued her education at Marion College of Marion, Ind. (Indiana Weslyan).
She retired from Peniel World Gospel Missions in San Francisco in December 1994, where she served as a minister. Upon returning to the Findlay area, she worked at the Judson Palmer Home and attended East Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Findlay. She loved living back home in the country and tending to her garden, still weeding her garden this past fall.
At Florence’s request, a private family graveside service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, with the Rev. Robert Greene officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be given to East Mt. Zion Church or World Gospel Missions and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.
