Stephanie Walton

Stephanie D. Walton, 44, of Carey, passed away peacefully at 9:29 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at her residence with family by her side.
Born Dec. 28, 1976, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was the daughter of Linsey E. and Elizabeth A. (Gulajski) DeGarmo. They survive in Benwood, W.Va. She married Dallas E. Walton on Sept. 9, 2000, and they were divorced.
Stephanie was blessed with two children, Lang S. Walton and Savannah U. Walton, both of Carey; her twin sister, whom she loved to antagonize, Emily (Chris) Dorer of Midlothian, Va.; a niece, Evelyn Dorer and a nephew, Thomas Dorer.
Stephanie graduated from John Marshall High School in Glen Dale, W.Va., and later received a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Findlay. She has worked at Findlay Family Practice for the past 23 years, where she wore many hats.
She was a member of Parkview Assembly of God in Carey. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and had true appreciation for nature, especially animals.
Stephanie loved spending time with her family and thoroughly enjoyed attending her children’s extra curricular activities. She was a proud mom.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Philip Littlejohn officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery near Vanlue.
