Carol Agerter

Carol Elaine Agerter, 72, of Carey, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1948, in Tiffin, to Allen O. and Anna Lucille (Grubel) Keller. On June 29, 1968, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married James “Jim” Agerter.
Survivors include her husband, James Agerter of Carey; daughters, Brenda (Thomas) Chase of Mesa, Ariz. and Mary Jo Agerter of Findlay; son, Jeffrey Allen “Jeff” (Missy) Agerter of Carey; brothers, Myron (Deborah) Keller of Sandusky and Robert (Diane) Keller of Berea; and three grandchildren, Sage Agerter, Elsie Chase and Andrew Chase.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Ralph J. Keller.
Carol was a 1968 graduate of Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, canning, loved to collect Longaberger baskets and Fenton Ware. Carol knew lots of people through her work in the public school systems of Hopewell Loudon in Bascom, Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, Ariz. and Findlay City Schools in Findlay.
Her funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Stan Tabor officiating. A rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 S. Washington Street, Tiffin, OH 44883.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Bridge Hospice Care.
