Annette Faber

Annette J. Faber, 85, of Carey, passed away at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky with her family by her side.
She was born June 19, 1935, in Carey, to the late Willis M. and Helen (Bleam) Putnam Sr. She married Harold R. Faber on Oct. 31, 1953, in Carey. Harold preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2021.
Surviving are two children: Karen D. (Daryl) Kin and Joel E. Faber, both of Carey; daughter-in-law, Melinda K. Faber, Carey; six grandchildren, Bo Kin, Dusti Zimmerly, Jil Kin and Kane, Kaleb and Will Faber; five great-grandchildren, Damon and Elly Zimmerly, Parker Hill (Kin), Sophia and Harper Faber. She is also survived by three sisters, Joyce Hauenstein of Findlay and Janet Heck and Carol Mittermaier, both of Carey.
Preceding her in death were her son, Jeffrey A. Faber; brother, Willis Putnam Jr.; and sister, Rita Hendricks.
Annette was a 1953 graduate of Carey High School and a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carey. She enjoyed her years working at J.C. Penney in Findlay, driving school bus for Carey Schools for many years and her involvement with many youth organizations while her children grew up. For relaxation, she baked and bowled in several leagues. She was a member of the Carey EMS for several years.
Friends will be received from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. the same day at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Sturgeon officiating. She and Harold will be buried at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery near Carey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.
