Deborah Curlis
Deborah Jo Curlis, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021, at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
She was born the daughter of Lucian R. and Ruby (Sheets) Adams on Jan. 28, 1956, in Springfield.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Thomas Curlis, son, Meric Curlis of Cincinnati, daughters, Michelle Castle of Springfield, Sara (Joey) Knisley of Springfield and Erica (Brandon) Finch of Springfield. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Sam, Jade, Owen, Audrey, Kali, Harper, Easton and Beckett, plus one brother, Mark (Mary) Adams of Illinois and two sisters, Ruth Armentrout of Springfield and Kathleen Fetherolf of South Carolina. Also surviving is mother-in-law, Jeanne Curlis, Sycamore, brothers-in-law David (Suzanne) Curlis, Sycamore and Michael (Connie) Curlis, Sycamore, plus several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lucian R. Adams ll; father-in-law, Meric Curlis; and brothers-in-law, Jon Armentrout and George Fetherolf.
Deborah was a loving wife, mother, nana and friend. She will be missed by all of those who love her. Deborah was a fanatical Ohio State Buckeyes football fan, devoted Bengals fan and she enjoyed working in her flower bed, but more than anything she enjoyed being a nana and spending quality time with her family.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, at Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home, Springfield, where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Internment will be held Saturday, July 24, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, with the Rev. Kenneth Wessler officiating.
