Annabel Binau
Annabel Putnam Binau, 98, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at St. Francis Home.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1924, in Carey, to Orvil and Corinne (Pierce) Putnam. On Aug. 22, 1943, in Covington, Ky., she married Walter J. Binau and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1997.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Losey of Tiffin; brother, Robert Putnam of Tiffin; grandchildren, Craig Losey and David (Casey) Losey; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tori, Madeline and Avery.
She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Binau; son-in-law, John Losey; brother, Harold Putnam; and sisters, Mardell Mullholand and Doris Montague.
Annabel graduated in 1942 from Carey High School and from Tiffin University Business School. She worked at American Water Company of Tiffin and retired from JC Penney. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed trips to Florida, traveling, canning, gardening and square dancing.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, at First Lutheran Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Clayton Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
