Robert Fredritz

Robert H. “Bob” Fredritz, 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in New Orleans, La.
He was a native and resident of Carey, enjoying his winters in New Orleans, La. Bob was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church where he was baptized at an early age. He graduated from Carey High School Class of 1972. Bob owned and operated many businesses but most notably Carey Body Shop and Wrecker Service in addition to farming his entire life. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Carey Eagles, Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. Bob enjoyed socializing, boating, golfing and visiting friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marsha (Welly) Fredritz of Carey; son, Robert “Bobby” Fredritz II and his wife, Kelly of Metairie, La.; daughter, April Bianchi and her husband, Jesse of Carey; grandchildren, Nellie, Nehemiah, Lincoln, Lizah and Scarlett.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Carey. Arrangements are being handled by Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
