Judy Mengerink
Judy A. Mengerink, 74, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, at 10:43 a.m. at her home in Upper Sandusky.
Judy was born on Aug. 12, 1948, in Upper Sandusky, to Dennis and Ollie (White) Ratliff, both of whom are deceased. She married Fred Mengerink on Nov. 5, 1966, and he survives.
She is survived by her three children, Kim (Doug) Caldwell of Upper Sandusky, Bryan (Janna) Mengerink of Upper Sandusky, and Nick (Melissa) Mengerink of Grapevine, Texas; nine grandchildren, Kendra (Sean) Carroo of Worthington, Shelby (Chad) Watkins of Delaware, Carson (Shelby) Mengerink of Findlay, McKenna (Kyle) Parker of Bucyrus, Courtney (Cody) Meenach of Marion, and Kyra (Collin) Fredritz of Upper Sandusky, and Skyler, Maeve and Knox Mengerink, all of Grapevine, Texas; along with six great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Oakley Carroo, Avery Watkins, Harper Meenach, Scarlet Fredritz and baby Parker, due in January. Judy is also survived by a brother, Gene (Berniece) Ratliff of Kenton; and three sisters, Geneva Fox and Joyce Jacoby, both of Carey, and Caroline Cole of Upper Sandusky; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Ratliff of New Albany, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ken, Don, Junior, Owen, Doug and Gary; and sisters, Mildred Ann Ratliff, Anna Ruth Ratliff and Norma Adams.
Judy was a 1966 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to work for Uni-Grip in Upper Sandusky, retiring in 2012 after 45 years.
For hobbies, she enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, reading and spending time with her children, grandchildren and loving on her great grand babies.
Funeral services for Judy A. Mengerink will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Barbara Osborn officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. Visitations will be held two hours before the service on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9-11 a.m., at the funeral home.
