Rebecca Plott

Rebecca Jean Plott, 87, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023.
She was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Carey, to the late George and Thelma (Cole) Lear.
Rebecca was a 1953 graduate of Findlay High School. Following high school, she met her husband, Roy Plott, and they were married on June 12, 1955. He preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 1990.
Rebecca was a member of First Lutheran Church. She worked in many different roles throughout her life including being a monitor at Whittier Elementary School and then working at Brinkman’s, where her soup recipes were legendary. She was a dancer, a trapeze artist, performed in USO shows and taught dance for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Cichocki of Mt. Blanchard; son, John (Teresa) Plott of Findlay; grandchildren, Ricky Plott, Cynthia (Matt) Wulff, Sara Plott (Brady Doepker) and Megan Plott; and great-grandchildren, Kaylie Wulff, Alivia Wulff and Ariana Klingler.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Plott and James Plott; and her two brothers, Floyd Lear and Joseph Lear.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, from 5-7 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. until the time of her funeral at 11 a.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay.
