James Coldiron
James Edward Coldiron, 86, of Tiffin, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Carey, to the late Eddie and Edna (Rothgeb) Coldiron.
Mr. Coldiron married Marjorie Sherman on Jan. 10, 1960, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage. She survives in Tiffin. He is also survived by a daughter, Deborah (Carl) Long, Tiffin; sons, David (Jenna) Coldiron, Sylvania; Duane (Shelli) Coldiron, Sycamore; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Cheney, Upper Sandusky; Barabara (Brad) Walton, Upper Sandusky; Beverly (Don) Riedel, Illinois; and Virginia (George) Tuttle, Sycamore. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Coldiron.
He graduated from McCutchenville High School with the class of 1955. Mr. Coldiron was a custodian at Mohawk School for 35 years and owner/operator of Coldiron TV Repair. He enjoyed camping and sports, especially the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He was best known as Paw Paw by his grandchildren and great grandchildren and he cherished every moment he spent with them.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Walton Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Darrin Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday all at the funeral home.
