Judy Beard

Judy Ann Beard, a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend of all, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at the age of 78 years surrounded by those she loved.
Judy was born on Aug. 29, 1945, in Lima, to the late John and Martha (Erhart) McCullough. She married the love of her life Alva “Sonny” Beard on Sept. 5, 1964, in the Rectory at St. Michael the Archangel Parish and he survives in Findlay. Also surviving are her loving children, Kim (Marc) Maas of Custar, Wendy Beard of Findlay, Lori Sammet of Carey and Cari (Ryan) Price of Findlay; grandchildren, Bryton Sammet, Zoey Sammet, Chevy Dillinger, Mariah Beard, Matt Rood and Logan Price; brothers, Jerry (Bonnie) McCullough and Harold (Sharon) McCullough; sisters-in-law, Ruth McCullough and Connie (Gary) Graves; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph McCullough.
Judy was a 1963 graduate of McComb High School. Judy worked at Centrex as quality control specialist. Judy was a devout Christian who was a faithful member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel. Judy was also a former member of the AMVETS in Findlay. Judy loved doing diamond gem art, crocheting, puzzles and a good crossword. Judy was an excellent cook and loved going on casino trips. Judy had a strong work ethic and was a caring, loving individual who would help anyone in a time of need. But more than anything Judy loved her family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
A time to gather and celebrate Judy’s life will be on Thursday, June 6, from 3-6 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. Judy’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Parish, New Riegel. Inurnment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s honor to the church.
