Philip Honsberger

Philip F. Honsberger, 82, formerly of Upper Sandusky and Sycamore, died at 8:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.
He was born on March 25, 1942, in Sycamore, to William and C. Lucille (Walker) Honsberger. He never married.
He is survived by a sister. Marcia L. Hufford, Nashville, Tenn.; niece, Jenifer A. Hufford, Nashville, Tenn.; a nephew, Gary S. (Lori) Hufford, Huntsville, Ala.; and two great-nephews, Ryan D. (Sophia) Hufford, Memphis, Tenn.; and Andrew M. Hufford, Birmingham, Ala.
Philip was a 1960 graduate of Mohawk High School. He also graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering in 1964 and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 1967. He was employed as a civilian at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, just east of Dayton, and Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Ala.
He passionately followed all sporting events with a particular interest in Ohio State and he was an avid follower of current political events. He also had a beloved cat named Tipper.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s choice in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, OH 44882.
