Geraldean Vincent
Geraldean Mullen Vincent, 97, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at the home of her granddaughter in Carey.
She was born July 20, 1927, in Scalp Level, Pa., to Henry and Charlotte (Barefoot) Berkheimer. She first married Edward (Bud) St. Clair, whom she later divorced. She then married Ralph Mullen, who preceded her in death. In 1974 she met Ed “Chief” Vincent and after 28 years together he finally got her to marry him in April 2002. They had 47 years together before his death in 2021.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda M. Powers of Carey; eight grandchildren, Edward (Elizabeth) Spradlin, Eddie (Terri) St. Clair of Bucyrus, Allen J. (Tammy) St. Clair Jr. of Nevada, Michael (Tracy) St. Clair of Forest, Allen D. (Crystal) St. Clair of Upper Sandusky, Bryan Powers, Jason (Abbe) St. Clair and Sheri (Bill) St. Clair-Adkins, all of Carey; 17 great-grandchildren, one of whom she raised, Dustin St. Clair; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Allen St. Clair; daughter-in-law, Betty St. Clair; son-in-law, Richard (Dickie) Powers; grandson, Jody Powers; two great-grandsons, Ryan St. Clair and Mason Spradlin; five sisters; and two brothers.
Geraldean attended Tiffin Public Schools and Thompson High School. She retired after 30 years from Westinghouse/A.O. Smith. She enjoyed camping, fishing and her many trips to the Canadian wilderness with her husband. She also enjoyed her puzzle and word search books right up to her passing. The family will all remember her extravagant Christmas Eve celebrations.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County.
A celebration of life service will be held in Geraldean’s honor on Friday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Church, Upper Sandusky. Private burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
