Annie Johnson

Annie “Opal” Johnson, 87, of rural Upper Sandusky, died at 6:39 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky. She was born on August 14, 1938, in Pike County, Ky., to Arley and MayBelle (Stewart) Glispie.
Surviving are the following children, Billie Johnson, rural Upper Sandusky; Donald (Jane) Johnson, rural Sycamore; Kathy Johnson, Naples, Fla.; and Rickey Johnson, rural Upper Sandusky. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one half sister, Elisa Adkins, Portsmouth.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, four half sisters and three half brothers.
She worked 10 years at Liqui-Box in Upper Sandusky, and also worked many years as a barmaid at many local bars. She attended the Forest Church of God, loved Ohio State Football, country music, shopping and visiting friends and family.
Funeral services for Opal will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Brother James Robinette officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
prior to the funeral service.
