Sheriff’s office investigating fight
Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fight that occurred at Carey Conservation Sportsman’s Association July 4.
“Deputies were dispatched to Carey Conservation Club on July 4 at 8:10 p.m.,” according to Wyandot County Sheriff Todd Frey. “Were were advised there were 10 to 12 people involved. There were threats made to people. There was information given there was the possibility of firearms involved.”
Deputies spoke to several people at the club and witnesses, the sheriff said.
“At this time, this is an ongoing investigation,” Frey told The Progressor-Times July 6.
