Connie Neal
Connie “Constance” L. Neal, 82, Upper Sandusky, died at 1:17 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at her residence. She was born on March 15, 1935 in Knox County to Hugh and Mabel (Davis) Rogers. She married Howard L. Neal on Feb. 16, 1957 in Lexington and he survives.
Surviving are her children, Jeffrey (Francine) Neal, Tiffin; Steven (Lisa) Neal, Dublin; and Douglas (Rhonda) Neal, Carey. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Rosalee O’Leary, Galion; and Patricia Hanson, Bonita, Calif.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Jone Poe; and her parents.
Connie had worked for many years in a doctor’s office as an office assistant and a x-ray technician. She was a member of the Sycamore United Church of Christ and the Community Quilters Club of Sycamore. She was a 4-H advisor for many years in Clark and Greene Counties and a former board member of the Wyandot County Senior Citizens. She loved to work in her garden, bake and cook for her family and was an excellent seamstress. She also knitted over 100 sweaters for “Sweaters for Kids” through Guidepost Magazine that went to foreign countries.
Funeral services are Friday, December 1, at 11 a.m. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Paul Fraser officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
