Juanita Lynch
Juanita Fay Lynch (Rhodes), originally from West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2025, in Grove City.
Also lovingly known as Tommie, she was a devoted nurse, a loving family member and a woman who touched the lives of many with her warmth, compassion and unmistakable smile.
Juanita dedicated much of her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She was a proud nurse and the former owner of Indian Trail Nursing Home and Carey Nursing Home, where her passion for caregiving made a lasting impact on countless individuals and families.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 47 years, Donald L. Lynch, and her parents, John and Margaret.
Juanita is lovingly remembered by her family: sisters, Evelyn and Dorothy; sons, Carl (Lynn) and Terry; grandchildren, Ryan (Rebecca), Trisha Mays (John), Haley, Abby, Jeff (Rachel) and Christina Schmitz (Jason); and 12 great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through each of them and all who were fortunate to know her.
She had a deep love for Elvis Presley and those who knew her will never forget her incredible cheesecake – a sweet symbol of the love and comfort she offered so freely.
Juanita had a gift for making people feel seen, heard and cared for. Her spirit of kindness, her gentle strength and her unwavering compassion will be missed dearly.
A funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, in Akron, followed by interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
