Lori Gorman

Lori L. Gorman of Toledo passed away peacefully at Promedica Toledo Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, her 69th birthday.
Born in Findlay, on Nov. 11, 1956, she was the daughter of John Guy and Donna (Nye) Greer, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Walt Gorman. They were later divorced and he survives.
Lori is survived by her daughter, Megan (Everette) Stephens, Toledo; brothers, John (Cathy) Greer, New Richmond; Bret (Christine) Greer, Adrian, Mich.; and Mark (Kim) Greer, Van Buren; nieces and nephews, Matt (Bryn) Billock, Carey; Adam (Emily) Greer, Findlay; Sarah (Daniel) Cencer, Marysville; Dr. Elle (Brandon Bradosky) Greer, San Antonio, Texas; Brian (Lori) Greer, Vail, Ariz.; and Ali (Wes) Hannig, Cincinnati; and great nieces and nephews, Reece and Delaney Billock, Myron and Fletcher Greer, Maggie and Tripp Cencer, Sophia and Chloe Greer and Lucy Hannig.
Lori graduated from Carey High School in 1975 where she was very active in Catholic Youth Organization and later attended Ohio Northern University. While living in Carey, she was a long-time member of Our Lady of Consolation parish where she served a term on parish council and was a eucharistic minister. She volunteered countless hours each year during the Novena. She loved the Blessed Mother and Pope Francis during his reign and was so excited to see him in person during his visit to the United States.
Lori’s life was one of service to others. She worked with orphans at St. Anthony Villa in Toledo. She cared for the elderly in nursing homes and private duty including her own mother during Donna’s final days. She loved little children and often cared for them as nanny. She was an animal lover and would take care of family and friends’ pets. She loved her cat, Patrick. Lori enjoyed gardening and especially transplanting flowers from garden to garden. She was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills. Above all, Lori loved her precious Megan.
Lori loved people and she would “give you the shirt off her back” which she often did. She was unselfish to a fault, giving away most of her personal belongings to others and in death, her entire body – to the University of Toledo Medical Center.
A memorial mass for Lori will be held at Our Lady of Consolation Church on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 9 a.m. A luncheon will follow at Shrine Cafeteria.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lori’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

I have many fond memories of Lori. She obviously continued to grow in her faith and love of others with every year. We have lost much.

Lori was one of my best friends. We’ve known each other for 45 years. We worked at Briarfield Nursing Home together. She was such a giving soul who had a heart of gold. My friend you were a sister to me and I will miss you coming over for “Snow Days” even in the summer. John misses making you a bowl of popcorn every time you came over. I love you “Gorman” and will miss you so much.

Lori was such a good woman. I met her in 2020 just before she moved back to Toledo.

Lori loved helping others. And, she loved working outdoors. Yardwork. Collecting acorns for deer & squirrels. She also loved desserts. Often she would order one after our meals together. Lori loved her entire family, especially loved her daughter Megan. I heard many stories about all of the family members.

She helped me so much after Covid & other times. May she Rest in Peace. God bless her. I will miss her.
