Shawn Weaver

Shawn Eric Weaver, 56, of Panama City, Fla., and formerly of Carey, died on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
He was born Oct. 11, 1969, to Ron Weaver and Sue Weaver Book. His father survives in Carey. He is also survived by his sister, Veronica Weaver, Carey; sons, James Weaver and Matthew (Maggie) Weaver, both of Alexandria, Ala.; grandchildren, Jax, Ryder, Creed, Blaze, Lyzzy and Rissa Weaver, all of Alexandria, Ala.; nephews, Luke Weaver, Findlay; Jake (Ali) Weaver and Dustin (Kim) Weaver, Carey; and a niece, Paige Weaver, Munford, Ala.
He married Marsha Campbell in 1991 and they had two sons together. They divorced and he married Barb, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his mother; brother, Todd Weaver; granddaughter, Renee Weaver; and grandparents, Jane and Jim Weaver.
Shawn graduated from Carey High School. He owned and operated Night Eye Recovery in Alabama. When he retired he moved to Panama City.
He was an avid fan of LSU and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved LSU so much he had a LSU helmet tattooed on his arm. He also loved his Harley and was very serious about riding. He was president of Toys for Tots in Alexandria, Ala., and was involved in many charities for children. One time he and several of his friends drove their motorcycles through an automated car wash to raise money for a charity.
His life was all about his boys and he was extremely close to his grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, at 4 p.m. at Alexandria Valley Church of God, Alexandria, Ala.

    My nephew will be missed I’m his uncle I lost his brother I lost his mother I lost a lot of my family members his grandmother died last year here in Alabama she was 94 years old he’s now with the rest of them up there may he go with the angels I will miss you boy you were a mess we did a lot of crazy things together when you were growing up you and your brother
