Nikki Luman
Nikki “Nik” Hill Luman, 48, died unexpectedly at Tiffin Mercy Hospital at 12:49 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026.
She was born on Aug. 15, 1977, in Tiffin, to Jeffrey and Patricia “Patsy” (Benner) Hill. After Jeffrey died Patsy married Ronald “Pops” Hetzel and they both survive in rural Tiffin. She married John Luman on Oct. 19, 2005, and he survives in rural Tiffin.
Surviving are two sisters, Joni (Dave) Spinks, rural Sycamore, and Heidi (Anthony) Ramirez, rural Tiffin; plus 14 nieces and nephews, Parker Hill, Isaac Spink, Aria Spink, Akili Johnson, Timmy Johnson, Enola, Hezekiah, Elijah and Ariana Ramirez, Jozlyn Bajenske, Stardell, Jake, Lacy and Sully.
Nikki was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Helen Hill and maternal grandparents, Annabel and Norman Benner, besides her dad, Jeffrey Hill.
Nikki did clerical work for the Advertiser Tribune for many years and recently did clerical work for Mohawk Community Library in Sycamore. She was a 1995 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and also graduated from Heidelberg University.
For hobbies Nikki loved playing all kinds of games, reading, spending time with her family, loved the color purple and anything with glitter. She loved all kinds of marine life, her cats and The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.
A memorial service was held Feb. 14 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Charlene Thomas officiating. Visitation was held Feb. 13 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, and on Feb. 14 at the church prior to the memorial service.
Nikki’s ashes will be buried at sea on her mom’s birthday so she can finally swim with the dolphins at sea.
