Terry Geiser
Terry R. Geiser, 61, of Carey, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.
Terry was born on March 6, 1965, in Wooster, to the late Noah and Fannie (Miller) Geiser. He met the love of his life Shawn Stroub at the Wyandot County Fair and they were married on Sept. 22, 1984, and she survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Emily (Steve) Geiser-Studer; two grandchildren, Calvin and Blair Studer; and siblings, Richard (Sandi) Sloan, Gerald Geiser, Arlin (Becky) Geiser, Eunice Steiner and Florence (Ronald) Smith.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Jarrod Geiser and nine brothers and sisters.
Terry was a 1983 graduate of Carey High School and worked as a small equipment mechanic for Alvada Construction for the past 35 years. Terry was a man of the Methodist faith who lived a simple, honest life rooted in hard work and love for his family. He enjoyed the little things most, especially traveling to Amish country with his wife, Shawn, where the two made many cherished memories together. Terry was truly a Jack of all trades and the kind of person who could fix just about anything. If something was broken, he’d find a way to make it work again, often better than before.
He loved being outdoors and had a special passion for Speedex garden tractors, collecting and rebuilding them with pride. Going to tractor shows was something he always looked forward to, not just for the tractors, but for the people and the stories that came with them. Terry believed in giving his all in everything he did. He was a hard worker through and through, never cutting corners and always doing things the right way.
More than anything, Terry was a family man. He loved his family deeply and took the greatest joy in his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his willingness to lend a hand and the quiet way he showed his love every single day.
A time to gather and celebrate Terry’s life will be on Friday, May 1, from 3-6 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. Private burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s honor to Dorcas Carey Public Library.
