William Myers
William H. “Bill” Myers, 88, of Carey, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.
Bill was born on Jan. 29, 1938, in Carey, to the late Russell and Lillian (Kitzler) Myers. Bill is survived by his son, William (Angie) Myers Jr.; grandsons, Chase Myers and Zachary Myers; and a brother, Bob (Lisa) Myers.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Gene and Butch Myers.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service as a staff sergeant. Following his military career, he began working for the Wyandot County Engineer’s Department in 2000 and retired after another 20 years of service to his community. Bill was a life member of VFW Post #3759 and American Legion Post #344, all in Carey. He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places and experiencing foods from around the world. An avid fisherman and crossword puzzle fanatic, he found great joy in both the tranquility of the water and the challenge of a well-crafted puzzle.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday June 12, at 12:30 p.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s honor to Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
