Lary Ekleberry

Lary F. Ekleberry, 83, of rural Nevada, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 12:41 a.m. at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
Lary was born on July 9, 1942, in Bucyrus, to Gerald “Jerry” and Virginia (Kotterman) Ekleberry, both of whom are deceased. He married Marie Gerber on Oct. 23, 1960, at Emanuel United Church of Christ and she survives.
He is also survived by his granddaughters, Emma (Rob) Vent of Kirby and Adelee (Eric) Bowman of Carey, along with two great-grandchildren, Eli and Olivia Vent, and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Ekleberry of Upper Sandusky.
Lary is also survived by his twin brother, Gary (Alice) Ekleberry of Bucyrus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steve Ekleberry; granddaughter, Jessie Marie Ekleberry; and a sister, Sharon Raypole.
Lary was a 1960 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, and was a FFA member, taking part in the national soil judging competition.
He was a member of the Wyandot County Antique Tractor Association and enjoyed going to various tractor shows, with their hit and miss engines and tractors.
Larry enjoyed watching a good western movie and enjoyed watching Gunsmoke.
His greatest love were his granddaughters, and great-grandchildren. They were who he lived for.
Funeral services for Lary Ekleberry will be private with the Rev. Steve Anstine officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
There will be no public calling hours.
