Joseph Wolph

Joseph Brandon Wolph, 38, of Fostoria, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday. July 11, 2020, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.
He was born Nov. 16, 1981, in Fostoria, to Daniel P. and Karen (Burris) Wolph. He married Christina M. “Christi” Prescott Oct. 19, 2013, in Millersburg.
Surviving are his wife, Christi Wolph, Fostoria; son, Lane, at home; parents, Daniel P. and Karen Wolph, Millersburg; brothers, Daniel John Wolph, Millersburg and Jared (Trina) Wolph, Helena; nephews, Jared Franklin, Logan and Elijah Wolph; niece, Lauren Wolph; great-niece, Emory Wolph; father and mother-in-law, Keith and Prudy Prescott, Carey; and his beloved pet dog “Gibson”.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Frances Burris and Paul and Patricia Wolph.
Joseph was a 2000 graduate of Fostoria High School and attended Bowling Green State University where he studied visual communications. He currently worked for Reineke Family Dealerships for over 20 years and was a marketing specialist with Internet marketing. He also had given guitar lessons at the former Alt’s Music Center.
Joseph was a member of Fostoria Church of Nazarene. His lifelong passion for Mustangs began with his uncles’ 1993 Mustang Cobra. He later owned a 1965 Mustang coupe, 1987 Mustang ASC McLaren and 2017 Mustang Shelby GT 350, among his favorites. He was an avid guitar collector and accomplished guitar player. He also played the banjo and mandolin.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and boating at Lake Buckhorn. He and Christi loved attending music concerts; music was a huge part of his life. He will also be remembered for his keen sense of humor.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, from 5-8 p.m. at Hoening and Son Funeral Home, Fostoria, and Thursday, July 16, from 10-11 a.m. before the funeral service at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bernie Dickson presiding. Burial will be held at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, at a later date.
