Joseph Fabiani

Entered into rest on Friday, June 16, 2023, Joseph Michael Fabiani, 74, of Augusta, Ga., loving husband of Marie A. Fabiani. He was born July 20, 1948.
Joseph was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. He was a Vietnam veteran, proudly serving in the United States Army and National Guard. He received the Army Commendation Medal, recipient of two Purple Hearts and Combat Infantry badge. He was a computer instructor at Fort Gordon for many years. Joseph loved his country dearly and flew the flag outside his home, which he was very proud of. He enjoyed tools, gardening and woodworking. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed nature.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters, Michelle Rabun (Ransom), Stephanie Choquette (Jay) and Joy Sjolie; grandchildren, Berkley Rabun, Sutton Rabun and Brandon Sjolie; brother, Tony Fabiani (Pam); sisters, Caroline Argo (Dave), Cathy Cole and Peggy Fabiani; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Donna Fabiani.

Box 14667, Augusta, GA 30919 The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 20, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with the Rev. Theodore Agba officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ransom Rabun, Brandon Rabun, Mark Fava, Jake Gresham, Kyle Edenfield and Stan Storey. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Fabiani, George Lever and Robert Weldon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at noon, at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
