Dennis Pahl

Dennis E. Pahl of Carey passed Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Dennis was born in Carey on Feb. 19, 1947, to Leroy and Beatrice (Pressler) Pahl. He married the love of his life, Lana Connor, in 1993, and she survives in Carey.
He lived most of his life in Carey, where he attended Carey Schools. Denny joined the Army when he was 19 and spent his time in Vietnam as an Army medic.
Denny was first married to Lois (Emerine) Risner and they have a son, Nathan Pahl, and a grandson, Landon.
Denny worked for Fostoria Foundry and Lima Army Tank Plant for 30 years. After retirement, he became a bus driver for Carey and Angeline Schools.
He spent many years fishing on Lake Erie, his favorite hobby, and spending time with his grandson.
Denny was a 40-year-plus member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a true life saver.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, from 4-7 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’ honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.

    He was a friend I spent great times with, we would hitchhike to Findlay on several adventures RIP my friend
