Jo Davis

Jo A. Davis, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at her home in Juliette, Ga.
Jo was born on July 12, 1948, in Findlay, to William and Rosetta O’Flaherty.
She is survived by her husband, Hiram G. Davis; four sons: Jeffery Davis of Juliette, Ga., Robby (Shannon) Davis of Juliette, Ga., Jeremy Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Samuel (Talia) Davis of Collins, Ga. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Travis Davis, Trevor Davis, Tesla Davis, Jeffery Davis, Lilia Davis, Kaden Davis, Kendyl Davis, Tyler Davis and Jackson Davis. Also surviving are her siblings: Steve O’Flaherty, Don O’Flaherty, Michael O’Flaherty, Patricia O’Flaherty, Kevin O’Flaherty, Larry O’Flaherty, Bill O’Flaherty and Teresa Gormley.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Orazen.
Jo was a 1966 graduate of Carey High School and attended the Catholic church. She married Hiram G. Davis on July 2, 1966, in Carey.
Jo was a wonderful wife, loving mother and caring friend. Like her mother, she enjoyed her morning coffee and crossword puzzles. During the day, she could often be found tending to her rose bushes and making sure the birds had plenty of seed in their feeders. She loved to cook and always made sure there was a dessert waiting for her grandchildren whenever they came to visit.
As the second oldest of 10 siblings and the mother of four boys, Jo was as tough as they come. Her strength will always be admired and the love she shared with everyone around her will truly be missed.
