James Puchta
James Franklin “Jim” Puchta, 78, fell asleep peacefully next to the love of his life of 58 years, and woke up in Heaven.
Jim was born June 12, 1945, to the late Frank and Nancy Puchta. After graduating in Carey in 1963, he married Sherry Hotelling on Aug. 7, 1965. He retired from Nissin Brake Ohio in 2007 and has enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing cards and Bingo and going to the casino.
Jim will be forever missed by his wife Sherry and their two sons and wives, Bryan and Cassie and Chris and Tracie, all of Findlay. Cherishing his memory are his eight grandchildren, Chaz (Ashley), Paige (Gage), Tony (Sarah), Emilee (Mike), Jocellen (Olivia), Storm (Kantrell), Savannah (Mekhi) and Yuri; six great-grandkids, Layla and Isabella, Alistair and Atticus, Isaac and Macklin. Jim is also survived by his sisters, Carol Porter, Sharon (Pete) Niederkohr and Connie (Steve) Stapley. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Kelly.
A time to gather and celebrate Jim’s life will be on Saturday, April 20, from 1 until the time of his celebration of life service at 4 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.
