Tina McGlothlin
Tina Marie (Shepherd) McGlothlin, 65, entered eternal rest on June 29, 2026, after a 14-month long battle with renal cell carcinoma. She peacefully slipped away on her and her husband’s 30th wedding anniversary.
Tina was born in Mansfield, to the late Russell and Ruby Shepherd on Sept. 16, 1960. After graduating from Mansfield Madison Comprehensive High School, she worked as an STNA for Winchester Terrace for many years. She held various other positions throughout the Mansfield and Marion areas, but her true passion was her karaoke business, which she and her husband owned and operated for over 25 years.
On June 29, 1996, Tina married the love of her life, Dennis McGlothlin, who survives in McCutchenville. The two started DNT Productions, a Karaoke/DJ business which operated in different venues throughout Marion, Nevada, Carey, Upper Sandusky and surrounding areas. Tina was well-known and deeply loved by many at Spanky’s RBar, the Rosebud, Bucks, the Conservation Club and countless others. Many fondly remember her rendition of Seven Spanish Angels or the various Karen Carpenter songs she flawlessly sang.
Tina had a beautiful voice, an enormous heart and an unwavering dedication to her friends and family. She was truly a one of a kind who never knew a stranger and was always happy, even while fighting terminal cancer. Lovingly called Tina-Honey or Momma by many, she often ended sentences with “honey” or “my love.” She sprinkled love into ordinary moments and made a friend everywhere she went. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dennis McGlothlin; sister, Patty Shepherd; daughters, Jennifer McGlothlin, Kellie (Justin) Rush, Lori (Norman) Phillips and Cassie (Chad) Meyers; nephew, Chris Nikolaus; nieces, Joy Darling and Valerie Aguilar; mother-in-law, Alice McGlothlin; grandchildren, Taylor McGlothlin, Chloe (Cody) Jackson, Brandy (Sam) Bailes, Keeran Constant, Gabby (Robert) Gardner, Makayla Roettger, Shelbey Rush, Evan Sickmiller, Noah Roettger, Isabel Rush, Claire Sickmiller and Bentley Meyers; and great-grandchildren, Charli and Remington Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Ruby Shepherd and a sister, Betty Nikolaus.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, July 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. A casual gathering will follow the visitation at Spanky’s RBar, Carey, for anyone wishing to raise a final toast to Tina. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 a.m. at Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield, with burial to immediately follow at Mansfield Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following the burial at the Ontario Event Center, Ontario.
