David Kramer
David P. Kramer, 85, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 6:15 a.m. in the emergency room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.
David was born on May 25, 1939, in Wyandot County to Ralph and Marie (Ballentine) Kramer, both of whom are deceased. He married Carol Adelsperger on Sept. 1, 1962, at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, and she survives.
He is also survived by his son, Dwight Kramer of Sycamore; two grandsons, Andrew (Rebecca) Kramer and Cory (Paige) Kramer; along with two great-grandchildren, Adisyn and Anna Kramer; and a daughter-in-law, Shannonleah Kramer of Upper Sandusky.
David was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Kramer; a brother, Ronald Kramer; and a sister, Pamela Bockey.
David retired in 1996 after 30 years of service, retiring as a lieutenant with the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Department. He also took part in the motorcycle team with the department.
He was a veteran with the U.S. Army having served for five years, and was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ, where he participated with the Saturday mornings men’s group.
David enjoyed mowing his yard and working on his Model G Gauge Trains and the track layout at the house that he had for 25 years. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife and traveling through many of the states.
Graveside services will be private at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Jay Scott officiating.
