Linus Billock

Linus E. Billock, 80, of Carey, died at 7:27 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born July 6, 1940, in Carey to Joseph and Irene (Lenhart) Billock. He married Wilma J. Barney on June 5, 1965, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. Wilma survives in Carey.
Also surviving are two daughters, Paula Billock and Pam (Dan Schuler) Smith both of Carey; three grandchildren, Scott, David and Patel Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, John, George, Frank, Isadore, Dean, Robert and Michael Billock; and four sisters, Mary Shaffer, Margaret Nelson, Loretta Phillips and Ruth Billock.
Linus retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Findlay after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
Linus loved spending time with his grandchildren, from watching them in their different activities to teaching them to fish. He enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking.
Family and friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home in Carey.
Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey, with the Rev. John Bamman, OFM Conv., officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carey Athletic Boosters or donor’s choice and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.
